Sparco ADV SCX is a state-of-the-art carbon chair with a lighter design than the top Sparco ADV SuperCarbon. Model H is designed for taller competitors due to the height of the upper guides. The chair's weight is only 9.2 kg.
Sparco ADV Supercarbon is the flagship product of the Italian company. This chair is the only one that has four attachment points and has undergone very demanding quasi-static tests and has been approved by FIA 8862-2009. The fabric lining this product has properties that prevent the material from igniting in a fire. In addition, the same fabric absorbs a very large part of the impact force.
Unique is not only the fabric lining the Pro ADV armchair, but also the cosmic solutions have been used in the shell structure of the armchair. Made of ultra-light material, which is carbon, is characterized by incredible mechanical resistance. The tests on the seat were developed jointly with the FIA and consisted in applying heavy loads with three hydraulic pistons at the height of the head, shoulders and pelvis of the sitting driver. The first test involves applying the pistons from the inside of the chair and bending it. The second test, identical to the previous one, involved applying the pistons to the backrest and bending it backwards. In both tests, in the pistons at head height, the chair withstood 7000N newtons, at pelvis the load meter stopped at 14000N and at arms height in the first test it was 11000N and in the second 14000N. The third test, known as the crushing test, consisted of applying pistons at shoulder height and trying to crush the chair. In this test, the chair withstood the pressure of 30000N from each piston.
Such excellent test results were obtained due to the special design of the chair. During an accident, the Pro ADV Supercarbon is able to change its shape. It is its flexibility that makes the seat protect drivers from injuries so well. Test results showed that the bucket can withstand an impact of 70G and a pressure of 3 tons. These values exceed the FIA 8855-1999 approval standards three times!
